sf style

According to Refinery 29, white is the new neutral. How perfect is this white trench (and from old navy, at that!)? I can imagine picking up some lunch at Hog Island Oyster Co on the San Francisco waterfront on a breezy spring day in this, feeling far from neutral.

weekend report: pizza party

First, let me start by saying I WISH I had more time to blog! I love it, and I know my pain is felt by all of you out there who have full time jobs + a million and one things happening in your personal lives. Any tips you have to offer, besides just making time?

While there may not be enough hours in the day to write a blog post, a girl's gotta eat...which is why I spent Saturday afternoon grilling pizza in the sun with my honey. We just picked up a new pizza stone and were itching to give it a test run on such a gorgeous day. All pizza doughs made exclusively for our pizza party courtesy of Trader Joe's!

hello, sunshine!

A heat wave has hit the Bay Area, and spring fever is in full effect! This weekend is one of the few in the next few months that I have to spend as I please, so after a long week of work I'll be soaking up the sun as much as possible!

TO DO: a long hike with my love, birthday celebrations, and a little shopping [of course].

zara: spring/summer 2010

If you live near a ZARA, you can understand my obsession. Every time I cross the threshold, spending hours and loads of money is not hard to do. I'm in love with these photos from their spring/summer 2010 collection - somehow the model looks sweltering hot and super glam all at the same time! To do: pick up some of this stuff for my next African safari.

in full bloom [well, sort of]

I am feeling ecstatic for spring after my sunny weekend in wine country. Spring training has begun, we are about to "spring forward", and nothing feels better than slipping into a floral print dress on a warm day. Although it's still a bit chilly in the Bay Area, I am welcoming spring with open arms and an open wallet!

weekend report: bachelorette bash!

My weekend was spent celebrating my baby sister's last weeks as a single girl in the Napa Valley. As the maid of honor, I spent months planning, and all the planning truly paid off! The weather was glorious (even though rain was expected) and we had a fabulous trip all around. Some highlights:

[dinner and drinks at Brannan's in Calistoga]

[hot stone massages and volcanic ash baths at Lavender Hill Spa]

[a crazy night out at the Calistoga Inn]

[an amazing day of wine tasting in vintage packard limos from Classic Convertible Wine Tours]

[cupcakes from Sift]

[final dinner at Barolo]

wine weekend!

At the moment I am working on finalizing the details of my little sister's bachelorette party - a wine weekend in Calistoga! This upcoming weekend we will be celebrating with 20 of her closest girlfriends and I am not sure if the sleepy Napa Valley is ready for us, but ready or not...!

We'll be indulging in a relaxing spa day on Friday, headed out for a full day of wine tasting in vintage convertibles on Saturday, and feasting on a delicious meal in Calistoga that same evening.

On the itinerary:

[cab and ghost stories at v madrone]

[sparkling wine at frank family]

[lunch and Aprile at gargiulo]
