drumroll, please!

After three months of work, a lot more money than we planned to spend, and far too much stress [yes, our original contractor walked off the job, unannounced!], my boyfriend and I officially have lived in our first house for one week - exactly! We are still digging through boxes to find our necessities, but the place is becoming more and more homey as the days [and even moments] pass. We've made so many changes to all parts of the house, but the kitchen was our major project. We stripped it down to nothing, and created a space that we love. Although it looks nothing like our inspiration, it is absolutely our happy place.

Check out these shocking photos...all taken from the same perspective, three months later.

  7. Oh Wow! How BEAUTIFUL! I love white kitchens and I particularly love the greenish/blue tile above the counter tops. The stainless appliances compliment everything so nicely. Congrats Meg and Scott to a job well done!

  8. It looks gorgeous! I love the backsplash and the counter you added after knocking out that wall.

Just one question. In the first after pic.... my eye was immediately drawn to the floor tile under the "after" label. Some of the black tiles look different and I was wondering if that's some kind of border or pattern that isn't completely visible?
